Layton is the biggest city in Davis County, with more than 87,000 people, and it grew up next to Hill Air Force Base. In 1940 it was a farm town of about 600. Today it has a hotel district, a regional mall and a conference center, plus a downtown park where the Kenley Amphitheater brings touring acts every summer.

Hill AFB borders Layton on the north, and its arrival in 1940 is what turned the town into a city. The Hill Aerospace Museum on base rents a gallery for up to 400, set up for retirements, promotions and changes of command.
The Kenley Amphitheater opened in 1995 in Layton Commons Park, next to the Heritage Museum. It holds about 1,700 to 1,800 people and has hosted Chicago, Foreigner, Styx and REO Speedwagon. Summer Nights with the Stars shows go on rain or shine, and temperatures near 100 F are common.
Layton's Fourth of July runs from a breakfast and flag raising at the Kenley to a parade, park booths, a free evening concert and fireworks. The parade is capped at 40 to 50 entries. The Commons area is packed all day, so plan any nearby load-in around it.
Layton has three I-15 interchanges, a FrontRunner station on the old Union Pacific depot site, and more than 1,000 hotel beds in its hospitality district. Out-of-town attendees can stay within walking distance of the conference center.

Yes. The Hill Aerospace Museum's Skaggs Gallery comes with a stage, podium, mics and a projector. We can add audio for larger crowds, lighting or an LED wall, sized to the room and the ceremony.
