Park City events happen at 6,936 feet, in a town built on silver mining and now defined by two big ski resorts. Most corporate retreats, galas and weddings here land in Deer Valley hotels, on-mountain day lodges or Canyons Village, and each one comes with its own access road, loading dock and winter plan.

Town sits at 6,936 feet, and Salt Lake City is around 4,300. Deer Valley's Empire Canyon Lodge is at 8,300 feet near the base of the Daly Chutes. Nights get cold fast up there, so outdoor cues, crew breaks and guest comfort need a plan.
Deer Valley and Park City Mountain both run group sales teams with day lodges, conference space and on-mountain rooms. Both hosted 2002 Olympic ski and snowboard events. Deer Valley is ski-only and opens for the 2026/27 season on December 5, 2026.
Sundance ran in Park City for more than four decades, and its final edition here was January 22 to February 1, 2026. The festival moves to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027. January in Park City will look different, which may open dates and room blocks that used to be locked up.
The Kimball Arts Festival closes Main Street every August. The 2026 edition ran August 7 to 9 with nearly 200 artist booths, two music stages and more than 30,000 attendees. Anything planned in Old Town that weekend competes for streets, parking and hotel rooms.

No. The 2026 festival, January 22 to February 1, was the last one in Park City. Sundance moves to Boulder, Colorado, starting in 2027, though the Sundance Institute still keeps a Utah office in Park City.
They carry Park City addresses and branding, but they sit outside city limits. The Grand Hyatt is in Deer Valley East Village in Wasatch County, and Pendry is in Canyons Village in the Snyderville Basin. That matters when you check which permits and jurisdiction apply.
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley's Jordanelle Ballroom, at 10,057 sq ft with 21 ft ceilings and 865 theater seats. The Chateaux's ballroom, about 6,632 sq ft, and Stein Eriksen Lodge's 6,036 sq ft ballroom are the next options for large general sessions.
