Draper sits in the far southeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley at Point of the Mountain, where the Wasatch Range meets the Traverse Mountains. It is home to headquarters for 1-800 Contacts, Control4, HealthEquity and Pluralsight, plus a large eBay campus, so much of the event work here is company meetings, product events and staff parties.
True AV's shop is in neighboring Bluffdale. We supply sound, lighting, staging, LED walls and backline for Draper events, and we have produced shows at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and Galena Hills Park and for Rock University, the Draper music school.

Flight Park State Recreation Area at Point of the Mountain is one of the best-known hang gliding and paragliding sites in the country because the wind is so reliable. Strong afternoon and evening winds are normal on Draper's south end. Outdoor staging, drape and ground-stacked PA need to be secured for it.
Draper requires a special event permit for any organized event or filming in the city. Build that into the timeline for anything outdoors, from a company picnic to a concert.
Draper Days has run every July since 2001, with a rodeo, parade, 5K, concerts, movie nights and a drone show or fireworks. In 2026 it ran July 10 to 18, centered on Draper City Park.
At 4,751 ft, Draper summers run 80 to 100 F, and July and August bring afternoon monsoon thunderstorms. Outdoor shows need a weather hold plan and covered spots for gear.
The TRAX Blue Line stops at Draper Town Center and Kimballs Lane, and FrontRunner has a Draper station. For commuter-heavy corporate events, that gives attendees a way in without driving.

Yes. Point of the Mountain is known nationally for hang gliding and paragliding because its wind is so reliable, especially in the afternoon and evening. We plan ballast and wind limits for outdoor Draper shows, and we carry backup gear on every show.
