Orem is a college town with a family streak. Utah Valley University is the largest employer and had a record 48,670 students in fall 2025, more than any other school in the state, so much of the city's event space sits on one campus: an 8,500-seat arena, a performing arts center and a student-center ballroom. Off campus, the nonprofit SCERA has run theater and summer concerts here since 1933.
True AV builds shows in Orem from our Bluffdale shop. We plan around the house rules of each campus building and the city's permit questionnaire, and we bring our own power distribution and staging for the park stages that have neither.

UVU rents its arena, its Noorda Center halls and its Sorensen Student Center rooms to outside groups, each through a different office. The UCCU Center books through its own site, the Noorda through a rental inquiry form, and everything else through UVU Event Services.
The city celebration ran June 8 to 13 in 2026, with a carnival, Grand Parade, drone show and fireworks at City Center Park. Parking at the park is limited during the festival, and the city steers visitors to nearby church lots, bikes and transit.
The free Orem Summer Concert Series runs Wednesdays at 7 PM alongside the Orem Farmers Market at City Center Park, from July into late September. The City Center Stage cannot be reserved while the market is running.
Orem sorts events into a Special Event Request, a City Property Use Permit or a simple pavilion booking. City Center Park, SCERA Park and Mt. Timpanogos Park all fall under the City Property Use Permit, and a pavilion request only covers groups under 50.
City Center Stage was built with Orem's CARE tax, so events on it cannot charge admission or be run for commercial or personal gain. It has outlets for portable gear and LED lighting on its glass-brick back wall, but no curtains, no dressing room and no seating.

AV note: Owned by Utah Valley University. It has hosted touring acts from The Killers to Olivia Rodrigo, and the UVX bus stops at the UVU station. Booking goes through the arena office.

AV note: Five performance spaces and an atrium for receptions, run by in-house venue managers. Request dates through the Noorda rental inquiry form.
Banquets, conferences, luncheons and speaker events
AV note: Rooms rent by the hour, with setup, takedown and AV billed on top. The Ragan Theater requires UVU's own AV Systems Engineering staff at extra cost.
Oremfest, the Summer Concert Series, cultural events, corporate events and concerts
AV note: Outlets for portable sound and lighting plus LED backlighting the city will switch on. No curtains or changing room. Book through the City Property Usage application.
Summer musicals, touring concerts and outdoor movies
AV note: Run by the nonprofit SCERA inside a city park. More than 60,000 people attend each summer. No alcohol inside the gates, and parking is spread across nearby lots.
Theater, film screenings, meetings, recitals and conferences
AV note: Historic 1941 building. Theaters and multipurpose rooms rent when SCERA's own season allows, so ask early.
Private venues with strong event teams, great rooms and a smooth load-in. The kind of places where the production side just works.
A golf-course venue near Utah Lake whose 4,160 sq ft Sunset Room seats 250 for dinner or 700 for a flowing reception, with a staff that runs one event at a time.
