Kamas and Wanship are ranch country on the quiet side of Summit County. Kamas, a town of about 2,000 at 6,690 feet, is known as the gateway to the Uinta Mountains. Wanship is smaller still, an unincorporated stop where I-80 meets SR-32 on the Weber River. Events here tend to happen on big private properties: a luxury ranch lodge, a members' club on the Provo River, a concert barn on a working ranch.

The Lodge at Blue Sky sits on 4,000 private acres, and High Star Ranch covers 1,100. Once you are on property there is no hardware store down the street, so we pack backup gear and spares for everything critical before we leave Bluffdale.
Kamas averages close to 97 inches of snow a year and has recorded -31 F. Even in July the average low is around 50 F. Outdoor dinners and concerts need a plan for heaters, and gear that sits overnight needs protection from cold and dew.
SR-150 climbs 42 miles east from Kamas to 10,715 feet at Bald Mountain Pass and closes for the winter. UDOT reopens it around Memorial Day once the snow is cleared. Any event up in the Uintas has a short window, roughly June through October.
Kamas Valley Fiesta Days has run for more than 80 years. In 2026 it ran July 18 to 25 with a rodeo, demolition derby and parade. Expect busy roads and booked rentals across the valley that week.
Wanship has about 400 residents and one operating business, a gas station at the I-80 exit. It was Summit County's first county seat, from 1866 to 1872. Plan crew meals, fuel and lodging ahead, because the services are in Park City, Coalville or Kamas.

Victory Ranch is a private club, so events there are hosted by members. If you are a member or working with one, we coordinate the production with the club's staff.
It markets itself as Park City, but its address is in Wanship, the small community where I-80 meets SR-32. That puts it outside Park City's permit system, so confirm permit requirements with the resort and Summit County.
Reach out as soon as the venue is confirmed. Remote sites take more planning, and July dates around Fiesta Days fill the valley, so extra lead time helps.
