Utah County is the state's second most populous county, with about 760,000 residents in the 2025 estimate, and its event market has two poles. Downtown Provo, the county seat, handles conventions and galas. Lehi and the Silicon Slopes corridor to the north generate corporate offsites, product launches and company parties.

Provo's convention center and the Provo Marriott across the street carry most large conventions and galas. In the north county, Thanksgiving Point in Lehi is the largest private venue, and tech employers in Lehi, American Fork, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Highland and Pleasant Grove drive corporate demand.
America's Freedom Festival in Provo, Lehi Round-Up Week and Mapleton Pioneer Days all land in June and July. Vendors and hotels fill up around those dates, so book production early for summer events.
Several independent venues in the county do not allow alcohol, including The Lodge at Traverse Mountain and The Boulevard in Provo. Confirm the policy before you commit to a room.
Events on county trails such as the Murdock Canal and Jordan River need a Utah County event permit. A gathering of 500 or more people for two hours or longer, at a site not built for that load, also needs a Utah County Temporary Mass Gathering Permit.

Yes. The convention center has in-house AV but allows third-party production. All rigging must be scheduled through the IATSE Local 99 riggers union, and power for vendor equipment is billed separately.
When 500 or more people gather for two hours or longer at a site not designed for that crowd. It is separate from any city special event permit, so plan for both.
