Ogden grew up as the rail junction for the first transcontinental railroad, and that history still shapes where events happen. Union Station anchors 25th Street, the county owns the big downtown conference and theater complex, and the city runs an outdoor amphitheater that books national touring acts all summer.

Union Station on 25th Street is a historic depot with four museums and a Grand Lobby under a cathedral ceiling. Historic 25th Street around it hosts the Harvest Moon Celebration each September, First Friday Art Stroll and Christmas Village.
Ogden Pioneer Days runs mid to late July, with nightly PRCA rodeo at Pioneer Stadium, after-rodeo concerts, a parade and a drone show on July 24. It is one of the busiest weeks of the year for crews and hotels.
The Ogden Amphitheater hosts the Ogden Twilight series. The 2026 run had 10 shows from June 9 with The Black Keys to October 7 with Big Thief, so the stage is built for touring productions.
Since June 19, 2026, downtown parking is paid Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at $1.50 per hour on the street. The Junction garage and Union Station stay free, and Sundays and state holidays are free.
Snowbasin and Powder Mountain are up the canyon and host their own summer and winter events. Pioneer Days programming even includes events at both resorts.
Outdoor concerts, Ogden Twilight, festivals and community events
AV note: Stage is about 35 ft wide by 30 ft deep with a 38 by 20 ft roll-up door. House sound and lighting suit most shows; outside production is brought in at renter expense when needed. Backstage access is from the Municipal Building lot on 26th Street.
Weddings, receptions, luncheons, meetings and corporate events
AV note: Open to all vendors and caterers, so outside AV is expected. The Grand Lobby's tall ceiling carries sound a long way; plan speaker placement with that in mind.
Conventions, trade shows, galas, meetings and theater performances
AV note: County-owned. The county planned a renovation of ballrooms, lighting and meeting rooms starting in 2023, so ask what is current in the room you book.
Weber County Fair, rodeos, equestrian events, expos and sports
AV note: Staff handle ticketing, catering, security and setup. No in-house show AV is listed, so plan for outside production.
WSU basketball, concerts, commencements and community events
AV note: Arena venue. Confirm production needs and house systems with the university.

Weber State's Dee Events Center seats 11,592 and is described as the largest arena in Utah north of Salt Lake City. For conventions and galas, the county-owned Ogden Eccles Conference Center handles up to 1,500 attendees.
